Role Overview

United Alliances is looking for confident, experienced and independent professionals to join the U.S. commercial insurance operations team at our Ahmedabad headquarters.

This role is suitable for someone who understands commercial insurance workflows, can manage assigned tasks with ownership and is comfortable communicating verbally with clients and internal teams on a regular basis. Experience in quoting and Certificates of Insurance is mandatory.

The successful candidate must be responsible, detail-oriented and client-focused. Daily task management and spoken communication are non-negotiable. We are looking for professionals who can think clearly, follow processes, maintain accurate documentation and complete work without constant supervision.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial Insurance Process Support

  • Handle assigned commercial insurance servicing and operational tasks according to client instructions and internal procedures.
  • Review task requirements carefully and ensure all necessary information is available before beginning work.
  • Maintain accurate records, supporting documents and task notes for each completed activity.
  • Follow established service standards, turnaround expectations and escalation procedures.

Quoting Support

  • Support commercial insurance quoting activities by collecting, reviewing and organizing the information required for submissions.
  • Enter accurate risk and applicant information into approved carrier portals, agency systems, templates or internal trackers as assigned.
  • Follow up on missing information, quote status and pending responses with the appropriate internal or external contact.
  • Review quote-related documents for completeness and communicate discrepancies before final processing.

Certificates of Insurance

  • Prepare, review and process Certificates of Insurance based on policy information, client instructions and certificate-holder requirements.
  • Verify insured details, coverage information, limits, dates, descriptions of operations and other required information before completion.
  • Maintain accuracy and consistency while handling certificate requests within agreed turnaround times.
  • Escalate unclear, incomplete or potentially non-compliant requests to the appropriate senior team member or client contact.

Documentation and Policy Servicing

  • Organize and update policy documents, client records, trackers and assigned agency management system entries.
  • Support follow-ups, documentation requests and routine commercial insurance workflow activities as assigned.
  • Ensure documents are named, stored and updated correctly according to process requirements.
  • Protect confidential client and policy information and follow all applicable internal security procedures.

Client and Internal Communication

  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, team members and other stakeholders through calls, email and internal systems.
  • Provide timely status updates and ask clear questions when instructions or documentation are incomplete.
  • Participate in regular operational calls, task discussions and process reviews when required.
  • Escalate delays, errors, missing information or client-impacting concerns without unnecessary delay.

Daily Task Ownership and Quality Control

  • Plan and manage daily tasks independently with minimal supervision.
  • Review completed work before submission to reduce avoidable errors and rework.
  • Meet turnaround times while maintaining accuracy, completeness and client service standards.
  • Take responsibility for assigned work, follow through on pending items and keep all task statuses current.

Required Skills and Capabilities

  • Relevant exposure to U.S. commercial insurance processes.
  • Hands-on experience with quoting and Certificates of Insurance; both are mandatory.
  • Strong spoken English and the ability to communicate regularly with clients and internal teams.
  • Good understanding of insurance processes, follow-ups, documentation and task tracking.
  • Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Responsible, organized and client-focused approach to work.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities and deadlines without losing follow-up items.
  • Willingness to work on-site and align with U.S. business hours when required.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience using an agency management system, carrier portals or insurance workflow tools.
  • Familiarity with ACORD forms, commercial lines submissions, endorsements, renewals, policy documents or related servicing activities.
  • Experience working directly with U.S. insurance agencies, brokers, producers, account managers or customer service teams.
  • Knowledge of commercial lines terminology, policy structure and common insurance documentation.
  • Experience working in an insurance outsourcing, KPO or back-office operations environment.

Qualification

Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Insurance, Finance or a related field is preferred. Relevant U.S. commercial insurance experience, strong process knowledge and proven quoting and COI capability will be given priority.

Detailed Experience Requirement

Relevant experience in U.S. commercial insurance operations is required. Practical experience in both quoting and Certificates of Insurance is mandatory. United Alliances should add the approved minimum and maximum experience range in the CMS before publication.
